Jarvis Farm is 25 acres of town-owned land that leads across a beautiful boardwalk to enter 365 acres that is the Walpole Town Forest. Jarvis Farm is the site of the longtime home of the former Sharon Country Day Camp, and the former site of an active farm run by generations of the Jarvis family.
The guided hike will be leaving at 8am from in front of the main building at Jarvis Farm. In years past there have been 2 separate routes for this hike, but we have decided to combine them into the longest hike of the First Day series. The hike is 3.5 miles and will go over the boardwalk, through the east parcel of the Town Forest. Continuing on to the west parcel, to the white bridge and back to Jarvis passing Walpole Water Works. Route signs will be available for this hike all day.
