School Meadow Brook Flooding: Updated

The School Meadow Brook flood plain has been high since mid-July after a period of heavy rain. As a result, the boardwalk from Jarvis Farm to the Town Forest has been impassable since that time. This week, members of the Trails Committed and the Walpole DPW looked at the culvert under Washington Street as the possible culprit for the high water level. In order to ensure that there were no blockages up stream that could damage the culvert, the Trails Committee flew a drone over the area looking for any issues.

None could be seen in the video, and once the culvert is open, hopefully the water level will return to normal and the boardwalk will be passable again.

Update

The trails committee was able to get out and reseat the bridges, and now the board walk from Jarvis Farm to the town forest is passable again. Below are some images from the project.
